Welcome to the year 2021.

Chronic kidney disease is a complex interplay of multiple pathophysiological alterations including decreased appetite, inadequate nutrient intake, hormonal derangements, metabolic imbalances, inflammation, increased catabolism, and dialysis-related abnormalities. Its management is complicated by various comorbidities such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, malabsorption, obesity, and surgical emergencies. Society of Renal Nutrition and Metabolism in association with UP-Association Physicians of India announces the advent of New Year with virtual Continuous Medical Education Program on “Touching Basics of Nutritional Intervention” on first Sunday of the month [Table 1]. The scientific committee has proposed 12 CME sessions for the year 2021 beginning from 3rd January between 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM. There will be three lectures of 30 min in each session. The talks will be followed by 30 min of panel discussion by specialists (Q and A). Please find enclosed, herewith, program for the first seven CME sessions (January to July 2021). The CME will be fully virtual and Registration will be free of cost. The CME which spans over a period of 12 months (January to December) will cover specialties such as nephrology, gastroenterology, surgical specialties, bariatric surgery, cardiology radiotherapy, hematological malignancies, and COVID-19 pandemic.
